This was the morning prior to Obama making the decision to block the Dakota Access Pipeline. Every morning people would pray, and pray to Mother Nature; and thank the land in which we all occupied. Eagles would fly overhead in chant and song.
It was the most spiritual experience I’ve ever encountered. I mean, Im not a religious person, but you don’t have to be religious to be spiritual. Waking up every morning next to the Missouri River, seeing that river, and knowing what you’re fighting for, and the how humankind’s nastiness’s effect on her, you couldn’t help but just cry you know? When you think about it, when you see it, when you feel it.
